What is Rejection?

Rejection can simply be defined as the act of pushing someone or something away and this rejection could be from our family, friends, or in trying to get employment or even at the workplace. The main reason — some people cannot stand “you” and will never appreciate you even if you put yourself down to be “killed” for them, they cannot and will “never” like you. That’s the bitter truth and the better you know is worth the while, so that when you are rejected be it by your family, friends, at the workplace, or even in dating, you will not kill yourself before your time. Rejections are actually referred to as distractions (necessary to get you to where you have been created to be) and without them, as in wrongs or detours, you will never realise the potentials the Creator of the Universe has deposited into you.

Life is about going for what you like and want but what would you do when you are constantly being rejected? Rejection can be painful as I have experienced it and this is why I’m writing about how I have been able to handle it, in terms of negativity and positivity. The Creator of the Universe sent me some people that I will actually appreciate in future (I call them HOs, though, I have mentioned it in the “book” that I’m currently working on and is due for release on Amazon “KDP”, hopefully, by the 1st week of December 2022. I realised that I have allowed “rejections”, “failures”, “losses”, etc. to have affected me “negatively”, thus the only hope that I had left was to die, but the owner of the “Universe”, knows that it was not my time yet and sent all these people to me and others who I’m yet to mention them now, but might actually, write briefly about them in this article if time permits me.

Big or Small Rejection Affects Everybody

I know how rejection feels and I believe other people who have experienced it also know it is really painful. Most of the rejections that I have experienced in life have to do with my family members, friends, and colleagues at work, and even rejections in getting paid employment. Everyday situations can actually lead to feelings of rejection like if your joke did not get a laugh or if no one remembered to save you a seat at a lunch table or even moving away when you attempt to sit beside him and he quickly moves away once he realised that you wanted to sit next to him. This will always continue to happen and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Who I am I

Just a brief introduction about “who I am”. I’m an introvert to the core and in my early days cannot even look into anybody’s face and will never look at you straight in the eye and though I know that I have a bit of knowledge as I always carry the 1st to 5th positions when I was both in the primary school and even in the college. I’m not good technically and this did not help me in the final examinations in secondary school (the final examination), this leads to what was called W.A.S.C. I had straight “As” in the subjects that is called “art” then but never did well in “science, geography, biology and maths”, the only weapon that I had and know is that before you will beat me when it comes to questions and answers, and even writing, (once it is outside of science, etc), you will have to either do a “night vigil” or read till daylight, yet it was a mystery to all those that were my mates at school (I’m not saying I’m the best writer as I know that there are millions if not billions), that can write better than me, however, they all know I have one weakness, which is “science” subjects. As much as I tried to learn and understand, I never really do well, so I gave up — my worst mistake, as I discovered later in life, that all I needed was to be patient, persevere, take all the necessary pains to ensure that I learn and understand it very well. Much, much later, somebody taught me the art and I was like what? That was how I knew. Today is not really about me, so, I will pause, as if the creator of the Universe spared my life, and He will, I will write about the story of my life.

How do you deal with Rejections?

There are 2 main ways to handle rejections and these could be “negatives” or “positives”. I had all along handled every rejection, failure, and loss, in the negatives and this resulted in MH, panic attacks, anxiety, depression, fear, sleeplessness, anger, frustration, irritation, low self-esteem, etc. The creator of the Universe, whether you believe in His existence or not knew that I was just existing and was actually looking forward to “death” and then send people to help me overcome my addictions which I have stated above including also, “Psts”, as I don’t want to sound too religious. To be honest with me, these difficulties, rejections, failures and losses landed me in the hospital in September 2019 and I was there until the 19th of November, 2019, during the period of my hospitalisation, I never knew there was a place called “earth” talk less of knowing I was even alive. It is not only those that are “dead” that have ceased to exist, even though there are some people up till now who cannot recollect or even know there is a place called earth or a place of abode. If you are writing about “rejection” just because you want to earn money and have not experienced it, I know from the 1st 2 sentences of your story. If you have ever encountered rejection just like I have, you will know and appreciate that rejection had killed thousands of people and some have committed suicide before their time was up on earth. Even after I was discharged from the hospital in 2019, I did not know anything until January 2020, that was when I started asking questions like, where have I been all this while, and that was the truth.

Negative Handling of Rejection

Like I said above, the negativities that I mentioned, more especially fear (force evidence appearing real) low self-esteem (meaning life was not worth living) and what I was hoping and dreaming of all the time was “death”, never blame anyone that has unfortunately taken their own lives as they couldn’t cope and I happen to be one of them. However, the Creator of the Universe was not ready to agree with me. That was why he sent all these people to me including my in-laws, the HOs and others too numerous to mention in this story.

Do you realise now that even the superior colour “Bees” are even using the minority silly colours, “Bs” (though to me there are no minority people), against each other, though, I have refused to accept the belief that the “Bs” are useless by the verdict of the majority of the colour “Bees”? The Bees know the ones to target and will never consider or even employ you (though they know you to be an introvert), so you will always be rejected, since they already know you will never agree with them on most issues and you will stand your ground, and ready to lose your job in the process. I really know and now understand how it works. The Creator of the Universe has sent countless people to me even while I was very young (this is how you know the real people that the Creator, has ordained to be either a Pst, Props, etc) to tell me that I did not create you to work under anyone — meaning, you will never be recognised, though you put all your energy and you will even be sacked in the process (that was exactly what happened). Another person asked me when she met with me and asked the question “do you have a passport, said “yes” because I taught she meant “passport photographs” and she said to me I’m not talking about “PP” but “International PP” and I replied “no”, she said go and get one because you are not meant to live in this country. I hissed and said (within me) not to her, is it now that I had a very good job that I should begin to look for one IPP, I just got a job in one of the best “banks” in my country and was actually looking very well as I could afford almost anything I wanted (this was after much troubles at securing a job). Though prior to the bank job, I got a job too with an oil company, one of the best in those days, but never had peace of mind at work, as those extroverts cannot stand me and did all they could to get me out whether by force or by fire. The woman knew what I was thinking about and repeated, go and get the “Int’l PP” or else, you won’t have peace and took one bad look at her and said “bye” and I could still hear the woman screaming, a word is enough for the wise. As the woman said, the extroverts were already waiting for me and I never enjoyed the banking job either. In the process, I enrolled in further courses since I was from a very poor family, all sorts of courses and managed to have the certificate that took me out of “secretarial jobs” as I never liked it anyway and also those silly extroverts that are always making mistakes in their typing cannot stand me, because, I hardly make any mistakes and the bosses will never keep their mouths shut, but will boast about “E” is the best out of all of them, so you want the extroverts to like me, the answer is no. Anytime any attempt was made by any of the bosses to promote me, they already knew and will conspire together that the promotion will never happen, not while they are still in employment. I knew that I was not wanted so I started other courses while working in the banking industry, and when I finished the 1st course (to be revealed in the story of my life) and requested for conversion to the main banking line, my request was granted by the then (Managing Director), so I was moved into core banking, this almost cost me my life, but the MD was of the opinion, I have granted her wish and there is nothing anyone of you can do about it. I was then transferred to the “Admin Unit”, however, they too were already waiting for the introvert that will take away our job. My point is, I was never accepted, they keep putting up the pretence that they all like me. I was being transferred from one department to another until finally, I was transferred to the “Human Resources Department”, in fact, one of the staff in “HRD”, told me finally — maybe you will have friends now as no one really liked you. It happened just as he predicted, and I now realise that those that are getting promoted each year and some every six months are extroverts, very lazy, but can scream from now till eternity and everybody knows them and even the “Management” is afraid of them. They never worked as they are “clueless” but use others to their advantage and they always get away with it, all the time. That was when I remembered the woman that told me to go and get an “Int’l PP”, then, I told my “H”, I needed an “Int’l PP” and he does not understand why I should even be talking about “IPP” when we are both bankers, well paid and can afford whatever it is that we wanted. I simply looked at him and said, I just want to travel out of the country to see the other side of life. So he agreed, and then I went to the passport office to apply for one, I filled out the form and handed it back to the officer in charge. It was really easy in those days to get an “Int’l PP”. Next, I knew they were some embassies, 2 to be honest, but I was not prepared to wake up at 3.00 a.m. in the morning and queue for the whole day to even get the application form not to talk of applying for the visa (I will reveal the 2 countries in the story of my life), so I did my research, found out there were other embassies that were actually looking for “people” to apply for their visa and travel to their country. Two came up and I decided to apply through the embassy that was very close to my workplace. As soon as I got there, after, I filled out the form “how long do you intend to stay”, I just said one week and the next thing, that I knew was that approval has been granted for your visa, come back in the afternoon to pick your passport. So, I taught to me, if this is so easy, why are some people queuing for the whole day to get an application form and on the day of the interview will even leave their houses at 1.00 a.m. at night — those were actually the people that wanted to get out of the country as fast as they can, and will never come back anyway and the 2 embassies know, so the punishment was 8 or 9 hours que, and they already know beforehand the people that will get the visa. Even when I got back to the office and told my colleagues, that I have been granted the visa, even my “Group Head” was curious and said “how”, I simply responded, I don’t know. To cut the long story short, as soon as I got the visa, I applied for a 1-week annual leave, and I bought my ticket together with accommodation. One unfortunate incident happened while I travelled, my “mother” passed on to the great beyond. I had the dream, saw that we were both captured, I managed to escape, but my mother never came out, thus the Creator of the Universe told me, your mother had died. That was exactly what happened, but no one called me not even my “H”, but all waited till I came back before the news was broken to me. I returned back to work, and after the burial of my mother, said since I’m now an orphan, as my father had died almost 12 years ago, I made up my mind, I will be travelling every year for my “holiday” as no one really knows when he/she will die. My “H” then joined me too, since he too has lost his parents and he actually told me, I don’t think I know my mother — meaning, the mother died when he was barely 5 years old. He knew his dad, because, he died at the age of 70. As we were travelling up and down including one of the countries where people normally queue for 40 hours to get their visas, another man came into the scene, and the Creator of the Universe sent him to us again, I did not tell you to be travelling round the whole world, you are not meant to live in this country. In summary, we listened to our Creator, I applied to come and study abroad, but the visa was rejected at first, despite the fact that we have 5 years visitors visa on our “PP”, I was actually upset and said, I’m not interested anymore, after all, I had enough to travel and buy whatever, I wanted. The Creator of the Universe, sent the same man to us again, that was your punishment for disobeying me. We did not bother to argue, but simply sent my “PP” back to the embassy, however, somebody heard about our story and said you need a lawyer, as most if not all the people that have been granted student visas, never bothered to come back and stayed put, letting us know, the rejection was not because, you cannot sponsor yourself, but due to the past experiences with student visas. So we approached a lawyer, he just requested for the rejection letter, wrote an annoying letter and said if the visa was not granted, we shall meet in court. I remembered 2 things from the lawyer’s letter, we had actually paid for the whole 3 year’s program, and the school in the country actually sent a separate letter to the embassy, that is the 1st time a student from this country will pay the full fee for the entire duration of the program. That was it, even though, other people came on the scene, telling us but not directing their answers at anyone specifically, such as there is somebody here, that wanted to travel abroad to further his/her studies, approval has been granted. When I heard this, I said, thank heavens because I knew it was directed at me. In short, we all travelled out without even knowing what is called a “dependent visa”. Our intention was that I was the only one that was coming to study, and the rest will travel back after two weeks, just to make sure, I was okay before they come back to our country. But as the Creator of the Universe had planned it, the visitors’ visa was converted to a“Residence Permit”, this is not the story for today, but if I’m alive, I will tell the story of how it happened.

I had no experience whatsoever but really wanted to work in the banking industry, as I was entitled to 20 hours of work per week. I always get invited for interviews, but never get beyond that stage, do you have so-so experience my answer was no, but I have worked in the banking industry in my country for more than 15 years, and the reply will be “sorry we cannot employ you” unless you have the banks’ experience here. When others hear my story, they would tell me that I should tell them that I have 5 years of experience and I’m like which bank will give me the reference letter and if I’m eventually employed and cannot perform, what will then happen to my 5 years fake experience, they instantly knew, don’t bother, she is an introvert, she will never get the job. At the end of the day, got a job through a friend, who told me what to do and I did just that. The lady actually told me I know you don’t have the experience, but I will offer you the job — though not a banking job, I was contented, at least, I did not lie. I started work, the pay was very good, but I had one major problem, you have to stand until you have your break maybe 15 minutes, and I told the person that helped me, this job is not for me and I don’t even care whether they pay very well or not. Another friend just told me after I complained, I cannot continue with this job, then mentioned something, I have never even thought about, simply gave me their telephone number and I rang them the following day. They told me to come to their office and gave me the time, day and time. When I got there, I met other applicants that were filling out their forms. The woman in charge, actually, she was one of the directors, asked me where I was from originally and I told her I’m from this country she simply looked at me and said I know, I was just trying to test you and even told me some of the interesting places she has been to in my country and told me, I like your people and wish I could actually relocate and live their permanently. I filled out the form and could not even answer most of the questions since I don’t have the experience. So when it was time for the proper interview the lady, not the director, told me you did not even answer most of the questions and I told her, to be honest with you, I don’t have any experience, so I don’t really know what to answer. She then told me this is my first time coming across someone that is brutally honest and said, I will give you a trial but told me, I need 2 references I told her I can only provide one which is the place of work that I am about leaving since I know they will give me a reference. She then told me the 2nd reference can actually be from a friend, but not your family members, and I said, yes, I have a friend. That was how I got the job, and everywhere they sent me to work, the same compliment like waooh, we really need you as a permanent worker because you are too good. I got my 1st permanent job and the extroverts were already waiting for me and had actually held a meeting before I joined, so I never enjoyed the job from day 1.

They are actually three (3) basic things that everyone strives to achieve in life and these are what (Abraham Maslow called the “hierarchy of needs”):

Security (physical, financial, emotional, etc.)

Connection (relationships, feeling valued and accepted)

Control (feeling empowered to make choices and have options).

The first major step to recovery is to step away, take a deep breath, calm down and get thinking straight again. The main practical steps to overcome are:

To get rid of anger (as you can actually hurt those that really love you in the process): Acknowledge the fact that “anger” is a spirit that needs to be dealt with through prayer, breathing deeply, taking a walk and never allowing your anger to overcome your emotions or last beyond 24 hours. Everybody expresses anger at one point or another. Other negative rejection symptoms are equally spirits that need to be dealt with the right way such as panic attacks, mental health issues, anxiety, etc. All the above that we are all striving to achieve as in security, connection and control is actually present in one person that we fail to talk to most of the time, but He is ever ready and waiting patiently for us to make the move, as we will not only strive but thrive in all of the listed situations and we have nothing to prove or even pay before we can get it, I’m talking about the “Creator of the Universe” — our “Source”.

How I have been able to handle rejection in a positive manner?

All I have been trying to say is that whether you are a “Christian” or not, or whether you are a “Muslim” or even “an idol worshipper”, our beliefs will never be the same, but the author of the universe already knows and has decided to allow us to co-habit regardless of your belief, or not. I’m sure you believe in something, it does not really matter, what mattered most is that we cannot run away from each other simply because you did not believe in what I believe in. The Creator of the Universe sent to me both Muslims, Christians, non-believers and even the HOs, they all addressed the issues in a similar fashion and one actually told me when she asked me what I was doing on the PC, the day she visited me in the house and I told her “I enjoy writing and I’m just trying to write what I enjoy doing”, she simply said to me “Well done, maybe you will put it on Amazon” and you can start to sell. That was exactly what I was writing about “how did she know” I don’t know. Another lady told me the 2nd day she paid me a visit too to my house and said you have too much information overload and you need to live one day at a time. I now realise, that the Creator of the Universe never created us equally, some are meant to reap where they never sowed and will never accept you whether you are hard-working or not. I know and I’m sure you believe in something, though, we don’t all believe in the existence of Christianity, but hey, I believe and I can say with boldness that “Being a Christian does not exempt us from trouble (rejection), etc., however, one assurance that I have is that the “Source” is ready to listen and bring us out and take us to where he had created each and every one of us to be without paying a cent. I was blessed by people that I called and referred to as HOs, they were able to bring me out of my negative rejection syndrome and I quickly realised that I need to go back to my “Source” even with tears in my eyes, that I have failed him terribly, but because, He gives second, third and many chances, will accept you as you are and you will have peace — meaning you have nothing to prove. I sincerely appreciate all of them that I cannot mention their names at the moment, but will eventually do in future as I will approach each and every one of them individually to let them know how the “Source” had used all of them in my rejections, losses, failures, etc. Other things that I learnt are:

Peace

Love

Faith

Mercy

Patience

Perseverance and much more are needed as we deal with rejections be it in relationships, employment, families, etc.

If you have been rejected whether in the past or now, please ensure you do the following:

The first thing to do is to acknowledge that rejection is impossible to avoid and the next thing to do is to look for ways to deal with the rejection so that it won’t lead to critical health issues like mental health, anxiety, depression, panic attack, even committing suicide and much more. We all know that feeling rejected is the opposite of feeling accepted, however, being rejected does not mean that you are not liked, valued, or important, it just means that one time, in one situation, with one person, things did not work out. To be honest, rejection hurts and it is impossible to avoid it altogether and you don’t want to. There are many ways by which we experience rejection which can be in our relationships, family, workplace, or even at getting a job, the list is endless. So if you have been rejected at one point or the other, I’m sure we all have, we all have to deal with it which can be either positive or negative.

It happens to everyone.

If care is not taken rejection can be handled negatively, and it will lead to the following, though, I mentioned it above:

Becoming unnecessarily angry all the time, (hangry lion) thus it affects your relationship even with those members of your family, friends, and colleagues that truly love you. So it is a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

However, instead of allowing rejection to lead to negative impacts, you can actually turn it into positive which will help you to move forward:

Positive Rejection handling will lead to the following:

You will realise that not everyone will like you even if you give yourself to be killed or go out of your way to please these types of people, those that will not like you will never like you regardless of whatever help you render to them or not, it will always be “it is not good enough”.

Love yourself as you are, the Creator of the Universe did not make mistake in creating you as you are and has already deposited into you the potential to become what He has created you to be. Perfect love actually casts out fear.

All humans and this includes everybody whether old or young, enlightened or not, have 3 basic needs that will all strive to achieve and these are:

Security

Connection

Control (Self-will)

When one of these is lacking, fear will set in and questions like “if I don’t get that job, what will happen, if I’m rejected in a relationship, what becomes of me, or what if I fail to make a positive impact on my children, what then becomes of me and the list goes on and on. To handle your rejection in a positive manner, realise that not everyone, repeat, no one will give you either security, connection, or control, so instead of dwelling on the negatives, appreciate yourself as you are and move forward to the next phase of your life.

How to Cope with Rejection

Rejection is a universal experience and the fear of rejection is very common (as explained by Brian Jones) who is a therapist in Seattle. Most people experience rejection over many things which can either be big or small at least a few times in their lives such as:

Being turned down for a job offer where you were expecting immediate hire based on your performance

A friend ignores your message(s) because he/she does not want to hang out with you.

Turned down for a date

A long-term partner leaving you for someone else

Not receiving an invitation to a classmate’s party

Turned down by your own immediate family because they perceive you as useless (the list goes on).

It does not really feel good when something does not happen the way we wanted it to, but one thing is that not all of life’s experiences turn out the way we hope. Therefore it is always good to remind ourselves that rejection is just a normal part of life (this we will all face at some point or other in our lives) and once we realise this, it will help us to move to the next phase of our lives. We are all here temporarily and whether we like it or not, believe it or not, we will all leave, and while we are leaving, the Creator of the Universe will send down new “people” that will take over from where we stopped.

Validate Your Feelings

No matter the source of your rejection it still hurts. Other people might see what happened to you as no big deal and encourage you to get over it and move on. However, for the person experiencing rejection, the pain might linger especially if you happen to have a higher sensitivity to rejection. Rejection could also involve other uncomfortable emotions such as embarrassment, awkwardness, suicide, etc. No one can tell you how you are feeling except “you” so before you can address your feelings around rejection, it is important to acknowledge them. Simply telling yourself that you don’t care about getting hurt when you really do denies you the opportunity to confront and manage this fear productively.

Be Honest With Yourself

This is more like validating your feelings but being honest means the ability to cope well with rejection that involves working with two things which are how you feel and what you think.

Let’s start with feelings: If you get rejected you need to acknowledge it to yourself. So in this case you won’t try to brush it off or pretend it is not painful. So instead of saying “I shouldn’t feel this way,” think about how normal it is to feel like you do, given your situation.

Notice how intense your feelings are. Did this rejection upset you a lot? Or just a little? Cry if you want to as it is a natural way to release the emotion so that you can move on. The next move is to name what you are feeling and how your feeling is. For instance, you can say “I feel really disappointed that I had been rejected despite all my efforts”. I wanted it so badly and I tried so hard and I feel left out because my friends made it but I didn’t.

If you like you can tell someone what happened and how you feel about it, you need to pick someone that will listen and be supportive. The need to tell someone else can help for two reasons which are:

It can be reassuring to know that someone understands what you are going through and how it feels.

It forces you to put your feelings into words.

I’m talking from experience here otherwise this rejection can lead to all the rejection symptoms that I have listed above.

However, whether you decide to share your feelings with someone else or simply think about them, acknowledging them can help you move beyond painful emotions. The better we get at dealing with our rejections, the less they will affect us.

Be Positive Regardless of your feelings

When we are dealing with a painful emotion like rejection, it is easy to get caught up in the bad feeling. However dwelling on the negative stuff can feel like living the experience over and over again, this will not allow you to move forward. Not only does it keep hurting, but it also becomes harder to get past the rejection.

So you need to admit how you feel about the rejection or hate, but don’t dwell on it. You need to avoid talking or thinking about it, full-stop. Getting stuck in a negative outlook will bring you more rejection and it certainly does not inspire you as a person to try again.

Examine Your Thought Soundtrack

Now you need to consider how to explain the rejection to yourself. Such as being too hard on yourself which is natural and thinking on the line “How and why did this happen” When you give yourself an explanation, be careful to stick to the facts.

You need to tell yourself: “I got turned down for prom because the person didn’t want to go with me.” Don’t tell yourself: “I got turned down because I’m not attractive” or “I’m such a loser.” You are not a loser, neither a victim, nor mediocre, but know that you are valued as a victor and a child of destiny.

Self-blaming or put-down thinking will definitely exaggerate our faults and lead us to believe stuff about ourselves that simply are not true. This kind of thinking crowds out hope and a belief in ourselves which are the very things we need to get past feeling bad and want to try again.

If you start blaming yourself for the rejection or putting yourself down, you will start believing you will always be rejected. Thoughts like, “I will never get a job” “No one will ever like me” or “No one will ever date me” amplify a simple rejection to disaster level. Rejection can hurt a lot and can be terribly disappointing, but it is not the end of the world.

Keep Things in Perspective

You need to tell yourself it is okay so I got rejected this time, next time I will definitely get a “yes” or at least “oh well” This has happened it is not how I wanted it, and I don’t like it. Everyone gets rejected at one point or the other in their lives and I will try again next time.

Think about what you are good at and what is good about you. You need to remember times when you have been accepted when someone told you “yes” or “when you made a cut” and much more.

Give yourself credit for trying as you took a risk which is good for you. Always remind yourself that you can handle rejections regardless of how painful it was. Though you were turned down now, there will be another opportunity at another time. You need to get philosophical as some things happen for reasons that we cannot understand now but will become clearer in the future.

Use Rejection to Your Advantage

Rejection is a chance to consider if there are things we can work on and if it is okay to think about whether there is room for improvement or if your goals were higher than your skills. If your skills were not strong enough, we need to work on our game, our studies, our interview techniques, or whatever it takes to improve our chances of getting accepted next time. Kindly use your rejection as an opportunity for self-improvement.

Most times you will realise rejection is a harsh reality check but if you approach it the right way, it will help nudge you in a direction that turns out to be the perfect fit for your talents, personality, and all the really great things that make you who you are.

However, I kept coming back and could see that I have a few followers, but there is one individual on this platform that lured me to follow her and got me to subscribe to her email list, I have mentioned her in some of my questions “Madam Abena Talks” ( I don’t even know what she is talking about), as her claim of 7 figure income per year is “white lie”, even with the claim of 7 figure income (Over $1,000,000.00/year cannot afford $5/month to read stories), yet wants you to subscribe to become a paid member using her link. This is not the end of the story as I’m already investigating her and will like her to reply to me via this great platform as I’m prepared and ready to fight “MAT” and we can actually take the case beyond “medium” if she chooses to, because, I will not give up until I get rid of her permanently (she is a liar, that cannot be trusted). I came back through another fraudster who claimed to be earning $100,000.00/year on medium alone, by simply posting affiliate links and knew within 24 hours that he too is another liar from “hell”, he was never on medium and you can find out as soon as you type into the search browser whether by the name or the nickname and much more, and he is only using Youtube to promote his business or businesses.

I have so many other individuals both offline and online that have hurt me deeply, and I’m ready now and prepared to reveal each and every one of them as no one knows his/her last minute or even seconds on earth, though, some fraudsters too that I know very well will make you believe that they even know the day, time, hour, minutes and the type of death that will kill them, yet they are all scared of the word “death”.

In my last article, I wrote about “Why are You Here” If you have had time to read about it, thanks, otherwise, see the link again. Today, I want to quickly write about “New Year Resolutions” and why most get discarded by the 1st 2 weeks of the year:

I’m sure most of us have read or heard about “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. I’m not here to write all about the “habits”, but briefly talk about “Paradigm, principles, in addition to mission, goals, mission statement, etc.

What is a Paradigm:

A paradigm pronounced (para-dime) is a model, a perception or understanding. It is only by seeing things based on the right or correct principles that we achieve success and happiness. To better understand paradigms, Steven R. Covey encourages us to think of them as maps, they are not solution, but merely a representation of how to get somewhere (destination).

This could be:

Changing your attitude — negative to positive, thus you can become happy regardless of whatever might be happening to you now.

Health and Fitness — determination to become active — exercise, shed excess weight, etc.

Setting goals — daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.

What of Paradigm Shift?

A paradigm shift is a change in the way you perceive something. For instance, last year 2022, I said “no” to “TikTok”, however in this new year 2023, I said “yes” — for a good no. of reasons, and I have opened a “TikTok” account, though I’m yet to be active on the platform.

What is a principle?

A principle on the other hand is a set of natural laws that govern human growth and happiness, and examples could be fairness, integrity, honesty, truth, trust, service, patience, perseverance, encouragement, etc. These are guidelines for achievement, while paradigms are the directions on your map.

I will advise anyone who is yet to read this book — The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to do so — this will help you to set your “priorities right” and become what “you have been created to be”.

Furthermore, before I discuss briefly about mission, goals, etc, I will also encourage my readers to read the book on “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren. Rick Warren’s book is based on “Spirituality” — which is “Why are You on Earth”? He challenges the reader to read a chapter “a day and pray about what is taught each day”, asking “God for revelation in mind, soul and spirit”. Each of the writers are both correct — “Stephen Covey’s” book is targeted at the “physical aspect”, while “Rick Warren” is targeted at the “spiritual aspect”

In brief:

A goal

This is an idea of the future or desired result that a person or group of persons has envisioned and commit to achieve.

A mission or mission statement

A mission or mission statement in simple term is who you are, and it also explains what you do and who you are doing it for and that is it. Most individuals and organisations take goal, mission (mission statement) as one, while others define goals, mission (mission statement) separately.

To get your priorities right early in the year — you need to commit to certain positive attitudes/actionable steps, otherwise, you will fall back into what is popularly called “comfort zones”, within the 1st 3 days of the new year — January, while some will keep it for 2 weeks or more.

No Plan — I have everything in my “Head”

There is a popular adage that states: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail! I don’t believe in “it is in my head”. Even the holy book (Bible) states in Habakkuk 2: 2–3: “Write the vision and make it plain on paper, so that he may run who reads it — because the vision is for an appointed time”.

Therefore, most people without any plan — I called them “The Chief Noise Makers” — with nothing on their “heads”, end up making 7 or 8 figures income every year — doing nothing, yet smiling to the “bank” and travelling the “world”. They are everywhere; offline and online! People call them “thieves”, “fraudsters”, “manipulators”, “MLM”, etc.

Discipline

You must be disciplined right from the onset — beginning of the year. Determine to wake up at the same time “everyday”. Start your day right — some will pray before they get up from the bed, others do not, we are not the “same”, but the “Owner” created it to be so!

Furthermore, surround yourself with the right people and avoid “detractors and distractions”.

Invest in Yourself

Plan on buying and reading a book (useful) once a month, quarter, or biquarterly, etc.

Hire a “coach” or a “mentor”. Most people use them interchangeably, however to me a “coach” — will help you get started, however, not interested in whether you win or lose”. Whereas, a “mentor”, will hold you by the hand, will not let “go” until “you can stand on your own and succeed”.

Budgeting

You need to specify how much you intend to spend whether per week, month, quarter, or year. If you don’t clearly write your budget, you will over-spend and you will be in “deficit” by the end of the week, month, etc. I read somewhere recently that every “cent”, you are unable to account for is a “waste”! I have changed some habits — it is only $5 and means nothing! It means something — I cancelled some monthly subscriptions — “why” — I realised that I have been wasting “money” for nothing!

Experts — Advisors

You need the service of experts or advisors if you want to grow your business or whatever you plan to do now or in the future. For example, I don’t have the time reading “privacy policy”, “terms and conditions”, “refund policy”, etc. Due to lack of taking time to read the policies, have landed me in “trouble”, “losses”, “failures”, etc. What I do now is to get a “qualified lawyer” to read and interpret the “terms” to me so that I know from day “1”, what to do and what not to do.

Other experts that you will need if you plan on running your own business are:

Accountants

Real Estate Agents — for offline and much more.

What are you going to do differently — Out of the Box?

You need to put your “thinking cap on — out of the box (VIP)” and decide what you will do differently to make sure you succeed. Manipulators, chief noise makers — have in mind to defraud people whether by force, crook or fire and will still end up earning 7 figure ($1 million/per year or even more)! Most of them too, have it in mind to become “MD/CEO” from day “1”, but they never work — very lazy, but uses other people (gullible) to achieve their aims!

For example, I know most people on this platform that have more than 50K followers, not all of “them” — that understand “medium” very well. So, what they do is to get as many people as possible — to open their “stories”, without reading it — “how”, just open and leave it for 3, 4 hours or the whole “day”. They will end up earning $2,000 and above every “month”! I’m not in that league as I believe in “hardwork”. Due to my resolution — I always have more “enemies” than “friends” — both “offline” and “online”!

Ever heard of the “graveyards” are the richest places in the “world”!

The above statement is true and correct. Neither “Elon Musk”, “Jeff Bezos”, etc., have assets that can be compared to what is buried in the “graveyards”. Why? Most people die without fulfilling their “divine purposes” — “The Purpose Driven Life — “Why are you Here”? Many are meant to write books, write, and sing songs, establish a business — yet they never do it — they are comfortable with “comfort zones”.

Comfort zones — if you fail to leave the “comfort zone” when it is necessary, you have succeeded in helping others to find their “footprints”, so your “footprints”, will never be discovered!

What are footprints?

A footprint (s) are marks in the shape of a foot that a person or animal makes in or on a surface (ground)!

To start right, I will advise anyone that is serious to do the following

Write your plan early in the year (January) or even in December of every year!

Think “out of the box”, instead of following others whether wrong or right!

I have mentioned about discipline and part of discipline is — check your emails twice a day — morning and late in the evening. Unsubscribe from the so called “gurus”, etc, otherwise, you will just be wasting your “valuable resources/money”, as they will get you confused!

Create folders (Yahoo) — Labels (Google) — to keep important documents and files!

Go on the social media — could either be “early in the morning” or “late at night”. In addition, decide how long you plan to stay “there”. Most people spend half of the day, socialising on the social media platforms.

Be extra careful when you are either on “YouTube”, “Facebook”, “Instagram”, etc. In fact, “YouTube (YT)” is a “distraction from the pit of hell”. You are on “YT” to watch a program for just 20 minutes, you will end up watching unplanned “videos”, and you will be more “confused” — “information overload” and buying of useless, expired information called “Evergreen Information”.

With “Facebook — “Meta” — you will succeed in adding friends upon friends, join useless groups and you will fall into the hands of “fraudsters”, “thieves”, all in the name of “MLMs”, “Crawl”, “Algorithm”, “bolt emails”, etc. By the time you realised it, you have lost countless amounts of money and wasted time and other resources. My resolve this year is to use “Facebook free” — no more payment for “ads” that Facebook knew it will never convert to a single “sale” but will “ban or suspend” “ads” that will convert into sale! For now, to become active again on Facebook — Mark Z — should go “home”, hands of “WhatsApp, Instagram, etc! Life is not about one individual — win-lose, it should be “win-win”.

I had left quora.com — Adam D– as early as November 2022, but it will not stop — “can you answer this question or that question”. All my shouting, screaming and even reporting it to “Google” as “spam”, “block”, “phishing” did not work!

Capital No to “Reddit, Tumblr, etc”. Yes to “medium.com”, “LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok, Twitter, Pinterest, WhatsApp and more!

Payment Processor — I prefer “PayPal” to other platforms — including payoneer, stripe, etc. I’m forced to use “stripe” because 2 platforms do not want to hear “PayPal”!

Always think of the “larger community”, instead of one individual — we are a “team” and not “I’m”.

Think “win-win”, and not “win-lose”, “lose-lose” “lose-win”, etc.

Undertake “risks” — “life” itself is a “risk” — and if you fail to risk anything in life — “you” are your own “risk”.

Let us all make the “world” a better place for us “all”.

My Resolute: “Winners do not quit, and quitters never Win”.

We are all “here” for different “reasons”, keep the meaning to yourself!!!

The “Owner” created “us” for main purpose “exist”, love, give and “take” not the other way around and they are “free”

What we “believe” in does not “matter”. Always think of the bigger “picture”!!!

Most are very “greedy” from day “1” “me” “me” all the “time”!!! Rethink now!!!

I came back to “medium”; 1st get rid of “Madam Abena Talks”, might have come back — because “she” is “faceless” and too “many” Abena Talks. I don’t believe “she” is the one in the “picture”!!!

2nd — “another fraudster”, Alek — “SmartMoneyTactics” — was never on “medium”, yet “has” “fake proof” of “$100,000.00/year” on “medium” alone — don’t “trust” anyone. Anything is “possible”.

3rd — so many “people” selling “medium’s training program” for upwards of £2,000 + VAT, to make “£2,000.00/month”. They are “all” fake!

1st thing first — “Begin with the end in mind” — my interpretation — “truth”, “trust”, “honest” “sincere” etc. “free” — you don’t need any “degree” to do it!!!

Build “only real” followers and not the other way around “selfish” “greedy”, etc. “Money” does not buy “true happiness” and keep wondering “why can’t they be contented” — No one will carry anything to the grave — “empty”. Some are “empty” – “they fulfilled their potentials”, while “billions” carry their “potentials” to the “grave!!!”

Ever heard about the “proverb” — “the greatest place where riches, wealth is — “the grave” and not “1” individual “living”, or “dead” comes close to the “grave”. Why are you then “selfish”!!!

I “laboured” for more than “5 weeks” to get a “book” out, “yet” “hackers deleted” “everything” in less than “24 hours”! I cried, but less than “10 minutes” — “summary”, “it is not the end of “life”! No more “Dropbox, but “drop-out” “Scam”!!!

“School drop-outs”, not “all of them” and apology to “Microsoft — “Billy Gates — American Business Magnate”!

“New Year Resolutions” — gets discarded within the “1st 3 days” of the first month — “January”

“Comfort Zones” — majority prefer this, so will never get “discovered” and have “succeeded” in helping “others” to discover “their footprints” — and will be “remembered” by generations “yet unborn”!

Life is too “short”, always think “win-win”, not “win-lose”, “lose-lose”. Invest in yourself “daily, weekly, monthly, year, etc”. “Life” itself is a “risk”, so if you don’t take any “risks”, “you” are the “real risk”. Stop being “greedy”, life is not all about “you”, think of others “too”. No more “follow-follow”.!!!

I only have 3 friends now on “medium” — they are the “real deal”!!! — “the hidden treasures”. Remove/delete, back-off, stop the “nonsense”. It’s all “over”.

When your assignment is “completed”, you will move “elsewhere”. Interpret and decide where your next “assignment” will be. “Life” is a race: some will get there by age “7, 10”, others later in “life”, however, everyone “all of us”, will get to the last bust-stop “final”. I understand perfectly what “you” have been doing — some had never worked in their entire “life” but makes more than “$1 million every minute” — travelling all over the “world” “win-lose” all the “time”.

Think about the “larger community” — “we are all in a race”!!!

“Patience, Perseverance, Endurance, Losses, Failures, Wrongs, Rejections, Detours”, (“virtues — key”), “all” necessary to get “us” to our different “destinations”!!!

For those of “us” that made it to “2023”, welcome on “board”, the “plane” has taken off for “some”, while “some” are just getting “prepared “— “we will all get there”, but not “same time”!!!

“Medium” is a “community” — we don’t have to be “friends” — “back-off, back-out, get lost, etc. and I will remove/delete as I have “free” time!!!

It is not “over” until it is “over”! — The world “D” — find out the meaning, as the word “D”, has so many “interpretations!”

“Chief Noise Makers” — stay on your “lanes”, don’t come near me. My advice — go to “quora.com, dropbox.com, stripe.com, FBK (Meta) — Mark Z”. “win-lose”. Will be happy to celebrate “his demise”, from “FBK” — go “home”!!! Life is not all about “you”. “Twitter users got rid of “Elon Musk” — “we” will get “rid” of “you”. So selfish, self-centred, etc.!

Repeat, “patience, perseverance, detours, wrongs, etc”. — very necessary to get all of “us” to our “various destinations”.

This story is short and concerns my worst experience to sign up and complete the registration process to become a user of stripe.com. I just finished writing a review of my nightmares with Stripe whose staff have no good support nor even understand the importance of simple “customer service”. Here is the link to my review on trustpilot.com. I don’t know why medium does not want to use PayPal, my best and preferred payment processor and will give it 5 stars rating any day due to its support and help anytime of the day. PayPal does not operate faceless platform and provides many ways by which users can lodge complaints, resolve issues quickly and much more.

A second issue that I have was that medium decided to keep silence on this occasion why Stripe is the preferred payment option for its partner program. I had started the registration process on the 19th of December 2022 and had success completing the processes on Christmas day (25/12/22) with help and assistance from both my bank and telephone provider. For me, stripe became compulsory because “medium” will not accept other payment methods like PayPal.

To make matter worse, I decided to check the reviews left by users of medium, guess what, medium.com has 72% 1-star rating, 1.9% with the highest rating of 2-star with no responses to at least clear the issues on the aggrieved users. I find this hard to believe and will really appreciate if the community and the new owner can investigate this. This is not acceptable to me by all standards.

The new year will end in a few hours’ time, and we will be in a new year 2023. I hope you have written your new year resolutions, draw your plans of action to guide you, otherwise, new year resolutions without actions, plans, goals, and missions gets discarded within the 1st 3 days of the new year (January 2023), hence, you continue with the usual norm — “comfort zone”.

Comfort Zone — yes, you will never be discovered and have succeeded in helping others to find their “footprints”.

Remember, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Let us make the “world” a better place for “us all”. Everyone will bow out when the “Owner” comes calling, and no one knows!

This is short and less than 2 minutes. I have been working on a book for the past 6 weeks. I could see that some websites were trailing me and actually reading the book — it is in one of the story that I titled “Make Money with no money”. I finished the book which I planned to add to my other published kindle/paperback on “Amazon”. I have a copy of the book on my PC, while I added the book to “Dropbox” — a cloud app, where no one else can see your saved “documents”, unless you shared it or gave anyone your password. Last Sunday, December 11, 2022, I woke-up and ready to upload it to Amazon, but got the shocker of my life, the write-up has disappeared on my “PC”, so I just smiled and said, it is in the “cloud”, low and behold, the copy on the cloud has disappeared too. I have been telling my friends and family members, some people are watching me while on the “PC”, but they all said that it is not “true”. The hackers, removed/deleted the covers, the book itself and left useless files that are not important. I cried my eyes out, and had to console myself, it is not the end of life.

Andy Murray is a Scottish professional tennis player who has been playing tennis since his childhood days with the likes of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Wawrinka and a host of others. He was born on January 31, 1987, in Glasgow, Scotland. He had a successful junior career and won the gold medal in the 2004 Wimbledon Championships, defeating Roger Federer in the final. He became a pro in 2005 and made his Grand Slam debut at the 2007 US Open. Andy also won so many “Masters’ Open” finals during his reign.

What I particularly, liked about Andy Murray is his fighting “spirit” and never gave up in the face of loosing to opposition more especially at the “Open Singles Final — Grand Slam”. I always admire his courage, resilience, perseverance even in the face of failures, losses, since his opponents always have the “upper hands”, thus loosing so many matches, most especially in final — grand slam, though, he often wins “Master’s final”. I kept on praying and wishing that he will one day win the much coveted “Single’s final — grand slam”. He achieved this feat in 2012, after loosing to “Roger Federer”, and he cried, and I cried along with him, but saying within me that he will win one day.

So, I was excited when later the same year 2012, he defeated the reigning champion “Novak Djokovic” to win the much long-awaited trophy “1st Grand Slam” and I could see the excitement and the pain in his face. Andy even confessed that he had dreamt so many times, seeing himself holding the “trophy”. All the British public rejoiced with him, and I could remember one of the newspapers referred to him as “the King of the New York”. Andy also went on to defeat “Novak Djokovic” in the following year 2013 at Wimbledon Singles ‘Open Final, thus ending the much-waited long years of waiting — 76 years after “Fred Perry”. Andy also won the Wimbledon Single’s final in 2016 and was thereafter ranked №1 for 41 weeks by Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

Andy Murray is one of the greatest tennis champions of all time. What makes him the greatest was his humility and is always seeing comforting losers at the end of every match that he won, and this is in direct opposite to Novak Djokovic who is always bitter at any match that he failed to win. Novak even said at one point that he never likes Andy — because, they are “rivals”, meanwhile Andy Murray never sees it that way and you can actually see him fighting for “Novak”. Other things I admired about him is fierce competitive streak, his unbridled talents, millions of fans, determination, dedication and much more.

To be honest, his fighting spirit, encouraged me to take the bold step to write my 1st ever published Kindle book titled “Wake Up to Reality”.

Andy Murray is widely considered the best tennis player of all time, mostly due to his success at Wimbledon (after 76 years waiting), which he won on 2 occasions. He is also the only player to have reached the finals of all four grand slam tournaments. He also won two Olympic gold medals, one with Great Britain in the men’s doubles at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics.

To me and some others, “Andy” is all time greatest and will really miss him as he retires from Tennis and will hope someone else will step into this feat in Great Britain. Bravo to you “Andy”.

Finally, thanks to all those that made me to reach the 100 member partner’s program. I have been away for sometime as I was busy writing my 4th book to have been published via Amazon KDP, unfortunately, the whole book got deleted in less than 24 hours by hackers — both on my PC and even on the cloud, can you imagine. As my resolute is never give up, I know the book will be ready before the end of this month.

Information is a word that is used a lot these days, but what does it actually mean? In its most basic form, information is data that has been processed in some way. This processing can be as simple as organizing data into a list, or it can be more complex, such as adding context or interpretation.

In the digital age, information is more than just data. It is a commodity that can be bought, sold, and traded. This has given rise to a new economy that is based on the exchange of digital information.

However, not all information is created equal. Some types of information, such as evergreen content, have a longer shelf life and are more valuable than others. In this article, we will explore the different types of information, evergreen information, and their value in today’s digital world.

To break it down, there are actually 4 different types of information (based on my own opinion, others might have their own opinions different from what I listed here) and these are:

Factual

Factual information is information that deals solely with facts and it is short and non-explanatory. The best place to find factual information is in reference books such as encyclopedias or almanacs.

Analytical

Analytical information is actually the interpretation of factual information. Analytical information is information that can either be quantitative or qualitative and is mostly used for decision-making. This is the type of information that researchers generate in their studies. Analytical information is mostly found in books and journals.

Subjective

Subjective information is information that is from only one point of view. Opinions are always subjective and can be found in books, journals, websites, and book reviews.

Objective

Objective information is information that is understood from multiple views and presents all sides of an argument. The best place to find objective information is in Newspapers.

What is Evergreen Information and Why Does it Matter?

Simply put, evergreen content or information is information that is relevant to the needs of a specific group of people. So to really understand what evergreen content is, you will need to do a bit of research and come up with ideas on how to generate the type of information that you plan to put out for these types of groups of people to read, also it lasts for most of the time and can actually last forever.

When doing your research, to avoid information overload, you need to avoid the trap called “shiny objects” as this will lead to confusion, and at the end of the day, you won’t be able to know who to believe or to follow.

“Info is available everywhere but the freaking “gurus” (I called them hungry lions, looking for another prey will make you believe they have the info to sell to you, (this is freely available if only you will be patient with yourself, research, persevere and you will find what you are looking for). “Guess what Google, Yahoo, and Amazon know this, which is why we can’t do without them. I have always been on medium (joined via “Madam Abena Talks” (madam AT) yet never really bothered to research the medium platform. I guess it wasn’t yet time. To be honest, madam Abena Talks got me on her email list due to her smooth talk on Youtube (though she got access without my consent, more about Youtube and initially brought me to medium and subscribed to her email list on medium, so medium always sent me madam AT’s evergreen information, which is not evergreen but copycat (copywriting). This article is really getting longer and I will try to make it less than 12 minutes, which means, I might not be able to discuss everything in detail (but will in the next article).

How I started and some of the lessons learned:

I was simply looking for a possible way of making additional income to augment my monthly salary, however, the 1st information I actually purchased was fake. There is nothing to sell except to put my name in the manual and begin to use Social Media to look for gullible people and tell them to pay me £10 via PayPal, after receiving payment, I will simply send the information via the buyer’s PayPal email. I tried reaching out to the lady (the seller) who simply ignored all my emails. That was my loss, right? Yes and No. If I had taken time to read the terms and conditions of PayPal and the refund policy, I might have been able to recover my £10 investment, but I never did. (More about privacy policy etc. later). However, I took my time to read the manual and got 2 information which are “affiliate marketing” and “how to”.

My Mistakes

Heard the word “affiliate marketing” and as instructed in the manual, signed up with Clickbank (so easy anyone can do this), however, during your registration process you heard a question like are you new to affiliate marketing, once you replied “yes”, Clickbank will attempt to sell you hundreds of courses on affiliate marketing at the same time. The best way simply is to answer “no” instead of “yes”. Whether you said yes or no, you will still complete your registration process, that is all. The next thing is to start looking for offers to promote as there are many categories/sub-categories to choose from. Since you are new all you have to do is to look to the left where all the categories are listed, however, being new to affiliate marketing I really do not know which categories to select, so I went to Google (my 1st love and still is, though I got suspended because I mentioned the name they don’t want to hear, which I learned later on and how they actually brought me back to Google) and typed the word “how to do affiliate marketing” into the search bar and within seconds it returned more than 512,000,000 within 64 seconds (see the image below), although I just did this research as I’m writing this article ”, however, this has always been the practice. I clicked on the 1st website that came up on page 1 of Google, and low and behold I was hooked by the sales page as it was talking about affiliate marketing using Clickbank by Rob E (a 2nd mistake), did no further research, brought out my CC and bought the manual. Guess what, Rob E (I have 3 of them, i.e. Rob T & Rob M but got rid of the other 2) and stick with Rob E, because he tried to teach me what I already know (he too was talking about affiliate marketing), but he did not mention going straight to promote on Google (which the first manual said) because you will be penalized (Google had stopped this method more than 2 years, yet they were still selling it as evergreen information), rather Rob E. was of the opinion that you need a bridge page, which he neither explained or really taught you how to do it, as he wants more money so keeping you in suspense because you have given him your email address. I should have been patient though but he was not responding to all my emails, which made me go back to Google, so eventually bought other courses because to me it was cheap until they almost turn my head due to information overload (indirectly selling the same information) but saying different things, so my confusion, I don’t really know who to believe. My advice really is to stay away from affiliate marketing (until you really understand the tactics, otherwise it amounts to a waste of money) instead buy and sell on Amazon, you can also use Amazon to sell your used items. Amazon is still the best to start your business if you are really serious about online business. If you are just reading this article, I will encourage you to also read my articles on how to sell on Amazon, I will include the link at the end of this article.

The second lesson I learned from the outdated information was that you don’t need a website, just open an ads account with Google, add your affiliate link, set up a daily budget of maybe $5, and watch the money roll into your bank account without doing any heavy lifting. Wrong, instead of approving my account by Google, guess the email that I received was a warning. Curious to find out what I had done wrong and instead of telling me the reason, I received the final warning. This got me angry wrote a bad email and the next email that I received was a “suspension email”. I, therefore, went into limbo for a long period of time but never gave up on my research as I believe there should be something I could do to assist in the payment of the numerous bills that I had to pay on a monthly basis. One warning though, always read and understand the privacy policy, terms, and conditions, refund policy, etc (this will save you from trouble). I will explain more about privacy policy, etc in my next article. Next, I went back to “Google” and type into the search bar “what is a robot” (because I was really confused about how the staff managed to single me out and sent me a warning email instead of approval). The answer that I got was “a machine resembling a human being and able to replicate certain human movements and functions automatically”. I guess this was the beginning of what is now known as AI (Artificial Intelligence).

What is Information Overload

Information overload, also known as “shiny object” describes the excesses of information available to a person to complete a task or make a decision. This will impede the decision-making process, thus resulting in a poor (or even no) decision. So when you want to buy information from the gurus, you should be especially careful to ensure you prevent information overload. A second lesson is that stick to one guru instead of buying different types of information (from all sorts of gurus) all saying the same thing but in another dimension. It happened to me and this made it so difficult to progress to the next stage. I had to get rid of them one by one until I was comfortable with a few numbers that I believe will help me in my entrepreneurial journey (this includes Rob E). He is beginning to teach what “Copy the idea” taught me and can’t wait to hit him in the face by using him to sell my products. I have learned and really know what works and does not work.

Copy the Idea

Whose idea really? No new idea as the information that is being presented to you is free information that is available everywhere (more especially on the internet) and what you will succeed in buying is information that is readily available (he just copied the information, turned it into his own) which was freely developed into an idea and to get you in, turned it into a book (became best-seller). Due to this, you bought it and discovered there is nothing new. At this stage, he had succeeded in capturing your name and email address. By the way “copy the idea” was the brainchild of another “guru” named “Andrew R”. Andrew invited as many gullible people like me to his “final event” (because I have been going to his seminar for 3 days specifically, Friday to Sunday every year), though never bought any of the ideas that the gurus wanted you to buy), now that he was retiring, having reached the advanced age of 67. I know him since the year 2014 when someone I can’t remember now sent me a link that says something along these lines “if this is the only book you will read this year, make sure it is “copy the idea”. I researched further and decided to buy the book. I bought it on Amazon, UK and the book was delivered to my address a few days later. I read the book and finished it in like 1 week. Never believe these gurus as they are not ready to quit (he was in limbo for like 2 maybe 3 years, and low and behold he came back, this time around no event but promoting affiliate products to his list). I went to the event (at least he is retiring), and there was nothing except a bunch of “gurus” all trying to sell their products or services. I did not buy anything (I learned from Andrew R the guru), however, I still fell for him by putting in my information as he will be celebrating his retirement with other people (gullible). He claimed to have retired and never retired. More about him in my next article.

My advice to you, however, is that before you make a purchase do thorough research both with Google, Trustpilot, and scamadviser or alternatives to Trustpilot and scamadviser. Concentrate more on negative reviews and not positive reviews. If you cannot find information about the product or vendor, don’t even bother to make the purchase, run and move to the next person to do your research.

Is Youtube (YT) really dead? I don’t think so but I can see YT keeping Tiktok in limbo as is now the case with Alibaba and Aliexpress. Alibaba fighting desperately to be relevant (even asking buyers to take loans), and buyers (sellers) in the marketplaces have since realized, there are better alternatives to Alibaba and Aliexpress.

Why Google is still my preferred search engine when compared to others like Yahoo, Microsoft, etc?

Never use affiliate links on medium, the community is built around people reading to gain knowledge and not to buy. I figured this out within 24 hours and deleted all the links that I included in my 1st article. The guru that taught the system (making at least $100,000/year on medium) was never on medium (all he was doing was promoting his business, by recording videos on Youtube). Medium gives you everything you need to know whether an individual who claimed to be on the platform is there or not.

Earnings Report (do your investigation) as most of them are just using it to sell their business. Those earnings are not real.

Why autoresponders like Aweber, Getresponse, and Constant Contact are still the best, once you unsubscribe, you will never receive further emails from these autoresponders, although you might still receive more, (the secret), you only subscribe to “one list”, “the gurus” will add you to all other email lists they have created and you will be wondering “I have unsubscribed, why I’m still receiving further emails”. That is when you will realize that your email is on all the lists they have created. I have finally been able to get rid of “Todd G” as what he did was to add my email to his private email autoresponder when Aweber did not allow him to resubscribe my email.

With private emails (not Aweber, Getresponse, etc.), as soon as you unsubscribe, trust me, “the gurus” will add you back to the list, so you have to tell “Yahoo” it is spam, despite marking it as “spam” sometimes, it will still end up in your inbox, which is why “ I still prefer Google to Yahoo, etc.” Simply tell “Google” “block or spam”, and that is the end of it, you won’t receive further emails from the “private email gurus”

Furthermore, AI (Artificial Intelligence) has now taken over my Twitter account, Linkedin account, and also “IG”. I was prompted to change my password which I have done on the 3 platforms, but up till now, I have been denied access to my accounts on the 3 platforms. My offense really is that I’m now ready to start exposing “the gurus”, they already know and word quickly goes around, that she has woken up from her slumber and is ready to start exposing our secrets. Never give your main email to anyone of them, instead create another email that you will never check, give it to one, and all the other “gurus” will have your email within 24 hours, trust me, I have been there and understand how it works. Now that you know the truth, you decided to divorce most of them within 24 hours, and before you could say “Jack Robbinson” or “word has gone round” don’t send any emails now as you are no longer welcome.

I have left “Reddit” more than 6 years ago, as I can remember, but 1 day ago, I received an email from “Reddit” that says “after detecting some technical irregularities on your u/yemm1 account, we took the extra precaution of locking your account”.

To unlock your account, “reset your password now.” I was on Reddit maybe for only a few months, but not really interested, I left, and now out of the blue, I’m receiving an email prompting me to change my password. Even Google is warning me right now, to sync all my passwords by visiting “passwords.google.com”. This is really serious as I don’t know what else to do. As advised, I will sync all my passwords now as I finish editing this article.

Finally, at the last count, I have 42 followers on medium, not aware that I’m checking my stat as I’m editing the article, and now it has dropped to 31. “Why,” your guess is as good as mine, I have refused to follow them back, so why continue to follow when “she” will never follow you back? I’m giving the other followers up to 48 hours to remove themselves or I will remove you myself when I’m ready.

In this short article, I will like to write about how to start selling online using Amazon. Although other online selling platforms like eBay, Shopify, mercari, etc are all good platforms to sell online, my no. 1 recommended place to get started is still Amazon. I like Amazon very well and I will let you know in this article why I chose Amazon over other selling platforms. Amazon is still the best place to sell your used items such as books, toys, kitchen items and much more.

Who is Amazon and why do you care?

Amazon is an American multinational technology company that focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. It has been referred to as “one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world”, and is one of the world’s most valuable brands. It is one of the Big Five American information technology companies, alongside Alphabet, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft.

Jeff Bezos inspired vision has been to create a customer-friendly marketplace, thus ultimately making Amazon the largest product selection when it comes to retail and continuing to grow into other markets. Amazon is America’s everything store that offers a complex catalogue of products. Amazon was incorporated on the 5th of July, 1994 by Jeff Bezos, a former Wall Street hedge fund executive (though I only heard about Amazon in 2014). I learnt the reason why he chose Amazon was because it started with the first letter of the alphabet, in addition to its association with the vast South American river. Amazon started selling books and learnt (did my research) that he started the business from his garage. He already has a vision (business plan) of what he wants Amazon to be from its conception to incorporation, so it is good to say that we all need to have plans and goals for whatever we want to do or achieve in life. Let us, therefore, run our own race as we have set it out. To actually make it in life you must begin with the end in mind which was what Jeff Bezos did.

How to get Started Selling on Amazon

The first thing you need to do is to register with the Amazon of your choice which can either be in the USA, UK, and other countries where Amazon currently has online marketplaces. Here is how to register and become a seller on Amazon. First, type into your search browser, www.amazon.com, once it comes up, scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see “Make Money with us” and click on “Sell products on Amazon”. Once you click on the link, look to your right where you will see the button “sign up”, click on it and when it opens up you will see a prompt as in the image below:

Enter your name, email and password and click next. You will need to confirm your email by a one-time password (OTP) to the email address that you registered with. Once you activate the OTP you will be able to complete the creation of your account where you will able to add your address, bank details and other necessary information such as your telephone number. Once you create your account, Amazon will like to confirm the following before your account can be activated:

Business name and address (this can be your individual name if you don’t want to register as a business)

You will be surprised that those items that you throw away are what other people are looking to buy without you lifting a finger or doing any adverts. Start this way and you can grow from there.

This is really great especially if you have special skills that people are looking to pay for. Services such as logo design, website creation, video creation, video editing, voice-over, and the list are endless. You can register with fiverr.com which is my number one recommended place or upwork.com, guru.com, people per hour and much more. I know most people that started gradually and have turned it into a full-time job.

You can start to write and publish your eBooks online if you have a passion for writing. Even if you don’t have the passion you can still do it for free without paying a dime. This is actually the best provided you have a great voice and passion for making great videos. It is the easiest and fastest way to build an online presence and turn your passion into income. Whether you are into vlogging, gaming, cooking, parenting, or sports, there is always an audience for your content. I’m a very shy person, my accent is really bad and did not start a channel though I know it is profitable. I decided to give it a trial early this year after listening to a video that I know the accent was terrible if not more horrible than mine. I decided to give it a go and was surprised to see views on my channel and a few subscribers. I still make mistakes and still learning but I have decided to continue regardless of how it sounds. I have also discovered other ways you can be on Youtube without using your voice or even showing your face which I will write about later.
